Project 16 - DIY Project #6 - Needle Felted Kitty Head

Hello hello

So, I did this a long time ago

And I forgot to blog about it.

Here is DIY Project [hashtag]6!

I needled felted a little kitty head.

How lovely!

Needle felting is pretty interesting and super cool.

Go ahead and Google it

Cos I have no idea how to explain the way it works.

I bought this is a shop that sells a whole buncha random household and not-so-household items.

In other words, DAISO.

If you don’t have a Daiso in your area,

Daiso is epic cos

[hashtag]1 – It has everything. From wooden poles to Japanese candies to glass bottles to wires to nail files to photo frames to drinks to phone cases to baskets to hair accessories to etc etc ETC.

[hashtag]2 – Everything is 2SGD… EVERYTHING

[hashtag]3 – The stuff they sell are of pretty good quality. :]

So, now that that’s outta the way…

I bought this the other day

[by the other day I mean four million years ago]

*Thumbs up for procrastination*

Isn’t the kitty cat on the front so ridiculously cute?!

Okay, so, after a couple hours of continuous jabbing,

[hopefully you’ve Googled “needle felting” by now, hehe]

This happened…

As well as four sore and “hole-y” fingers…

Yes, you do accidentally stab yourself in the finger[s] every time sometimes.

I know it looks nothing like the picture…

Well, that’s cos the eyes they provided were way a tad bit too tiny…

And, mind you, the size of eyes can drastically change the cuteness level of something.

Waddya think?

Overall, I had quite a good time

[because I was watching an epic show while doing this.

Yay for multitasking…]

I feel that the finished product looks close enough to a cat

So yeah.

If I could re-do, I would make the head a little smaller. :]

That’s it!

Have a great day!

Um...Hi? yeah...

Wait wait wait wait wait

Hold up

Hang on

Before your smack me with that dictionary,

Please hear me out first.

K, fine. Slap me

So, hey guys,

I'm finally back

(After disappearing for a couple centuries.)

I can assure you that I’m still very much alive

Or at least I think I am.

School started

Oh, wait…

School has never stopped (for me)

Yay for the flexibility of the homeschooler’s schedule.

We have school when others school

School when others slack

Live so far has been pretty interesting.

I traveled a bit

Lazed around a bit

Died a lot bit

I really look forward to start blogging again

I mean, I seriously love blogging

But, man, the time that it takes…

*awkward silence*

Aha! Pictures

Pictures speak a thousand words so I should just slap a whole buncha ‘em here
[When I have the time]

Ok, peeps, I'm terribly sorry for disappearing
I'll try my very bestest not to go missing again.
Pinky promise.

That's it for now.

See ya!

The Sunshine Blogger Award (#3)

Award post again.

pic from the previous Sunshine Blogger Award post~
This time, Asha nominated me. Thanks! <3
She posts DIYs and photos and other cool stuffz over on her blog. Take a look sometime soon maybe?
Them rules:
Thank the person who nominated you
Answer the questions from the person who has nominated you
Nominate your bloggers (11 being the standard)
Make a set of questions for the people you nominated
 Tell them you nominated them.
Put the award picture on your blog.
Asha’s questions:
1.      Favourite singer?
Erm, I don’t have one.
2.      Favourite colour?
Currently, I’m in between a sweet light purple and turquoise.
3.      What camera do you use to take the photos on your blog?
I use lots of different cameras for my blog.
I use my XiaoMi RedMi smartphone camera,
I use my Casio Exilim digital camera,
And I also use my Panasonic Lumix GH1.
YAS, they’re all MINE!
4.      What do you like about blogging?
I like writing so blogging is a great hobby.
Photography and DIYs are also stuff I enjoy so my blog is also a place where I can both share and afe keep those thingies.
The people are amazing too, of course!
5.      What is your favourite blog post of yours?
I enjoy reading my old blog posts, but if you asked me to pic one…
Either this post
Or this post
Click them links, yes please. :]
6.      What are your favourite blogs?
I love (in no particular order):
These are all great blogs with great content. As you can most prolly tell,
I enjoy crafting/DIY blogs,
As well as a little bit of writing, cooking and other randomness. :]
7.      Do you play any instruments?
Yep, I play the piano seriously.
Seriously…? As in I take exams and willingly put myself through other horrendous stuff.
*remembers that the exam’s in August*
I also play the cello, kinda like just for fun. Just so I can say I play two classical instruments.
Oh and I also know how to strum a couple chords on the ukulele.
8. Favourite word?
I don’t think I have a favorite word.
English is such an epic and crazy language,
How can I possibly choose one out of the entire mumbo-jumbo mish-mash of words?!
Alrighty, I nominate:
*It’s fine if you choose not to do this post. No pressure. :]
My questions:
1.      Would you rather buy a house fully furnished or one that is unfurnished [in other words, you get to style and design the interior yourself]?
2.      Without having to study/practice, would you rather be able to speak three new languages or play three new musical instruments?
3.      [in regards to the previous question] Which languages/instruments?
4.      Favorite stationary?
5.      Do you want to own a car? What kind?
6.      Craziest goal?
7.      Dream vacation?
8.      Favorite color?
9.      What’s the thing closest your left foot.
10.  Which kind of blog interests you the most - Fashion, lifestyle, crafting/DIY, etc…?
11.  Have you ever done something amazing and gotten [slightly] annoyed/disappointed cos no one was there to see you do it?
That’s all for my post!
Thanks, Asha, once again for nominating me. <3

Project 16 - Baking Recipe #9 - Gluten-free Cashew Cookies

Hey There!
Okay, I haven’t been posting as much as I wanted to this summer…
But, at least I found some time to bake. (<3)
I baked gluten-free cashew cookies.
But before that, some updates/background info.
*cues flashback video*
Recently, about two weeks ago,
My eczema decided to pay me another visit.
This time, with so much vengeance that I thought I was going to die.
I used to only have it on my ankles and sometimes on my fingers and around my mouth.
Now, it’s everywhere… ><
On my face, knees, and elbows (both in front and behind).
Not even my ears were spared.
It hurt, itched, flaked, cracked, oozed, etc. (ew…)
So my mom suggested I change my diet. (AGAIN!)
Usually, the lazy me would resist.
I mean, think of all the stuff you have to take time off to specially prepare.
Not to mention the crazy amount of supplements and whatnots you have to eat.
But, the itching, annoyed, and half-dead me readily agreed.
I was ready to do anything to get rid of this disgusting skin problem…
So the gluten-, dairy-, sugar-, processed/refined foods-free diet began on the 7th of July.
I’m beginning to see some changes and improvement so I’m not complaining.
(though it really was such a pain to chug juice and swallow pills)
*End of flashback*
I was good girl for the past 2 weeks and managed to resist lots of stuff.
The resisting didn’t really affect me, I'm not a foodie, you see.
But what got me was the craving.
Everything I ate during the diet was almost always mushy and bland.
I craved something crunchy and salty…
Dehydrated fruits and veggies didn’t satisfy me.
Rice crackers were rather bland as well.
So after two weeks of thinking, searching, and craving,
I finally found a gluten-free cookie recipe.
It’s also super easy to make.
Double yay!
You’ll need:
§  1/2 Cup Cashew spread
§  1 Tablespoon Honey (can sub agave nectar for vegan)
§  1/4 Teaspoon Vanilla Extract
§  1/4 Teaspoon Baking Soda
§  1/3 Cup Semi-Sweet or Dark Chocolate Chips (optional)
This is the kind of cashew spread I used.
I know this is not a super organic or healthy recipe but hey,
It only makes 12 small cookies… :P
Just mix them all together, spoon them onto a baking tray,
Bake at 350 Fo/176 Co for 8-10 minutes, and

I love the taste and texture – slightly moist… <3
Okay, that’s all I have for now.
See you in the next post which will most probably be another award post.
K, bye~!
